The Begining

This is our Ryan Paige. An incredible little girl....beautiful, smart, sweet, and touches all those her know her with her huge heart. For those who don't know, on June 16th, 2008, we received some shocking news. Ryan was diagnosed with Pre B-cell ALL...Leukemia. After a month of her not feeling well and being in and out of the hospital a couple of times her pediatrician was wise enough to send us here to UCLA. She was not presenting like she had Leukemia so when we received the news it was shocking and devastating.
We have since gone into "Battle mode" I like to call it. We have overcome a few hurdles already and recognized the strength that she has within her is some thing we could all learn from. She had her first dose of chemo on Wed. and tolerated it well. She takes medication daily by mouth, and got two very painful shots on Sat. but did a great job. Her spirits and energy level were great when she got here. She was up and playing around in the room and got pretty chapped when they informed us that she was not aloud to go back to the play room. She has since slowed down a little bit...they say the chemo is catching up with her. But, she has her moments when she perks up. We were able to have Logan and Adam come in the room, and she got so excited. She got up and showed them all of her goodies that she has gotten.
We want to say Thank you and let everyone know Ryan feels, and we feel, the love and support from everyone surrounding us. Through out this journey that we have ahead of us we recognize that we need all the thoughts and prayers you all can give us. We all love her so much, so with all of us behind her she will defeat this Leukemia. So please pray for our Princess Ryan Paige, to have the strength to overcome this disease, with the least amount of obstacles in her way as possible. Thank you!

Hey guys!
I just recently heard of the news and I wanted to let you know that I have kept Ryan in my thoughts and prayers every day since.
It is a tremendous obstacle that anyone understands and it is truely inspiring to hear, see and read of the powerful support that she has behind her. She is a very beautiful young girl and my heart is with her and the family.
